In the Maritime Junior Hockey League, the Summerside Western Capitals won 6 – 2 over the Valley Wildcats. The Caps are playing tonight in Yarmouth.
UPEI had a split Friday night in AUS preseason hockey. The Women’s Panthers scored five times in the last 40 minutes in a 5-1 win over visiting Mount Allison. The Men’s Panthers lost 4-1 on the road facing St.FX.
The Peakes Bombers won the Kings County Baseball League Championship Friday night with a 4-3 win in Game #6 over the Morell Chevies to take the series 4-2.
The Islanders host the Moncton Mets Saturday night at 7:00pm in Game #3 of the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League Final. The series is tied 1-1.
