On Friday, the Epekwitk Assembly of Councils presented the 2024 Reconciliation Recognition Awards to this year’s recipients. The Reconciliation Recognition Award was created three years ago to acknowledge and recognize the efforts of organizations, businesses and individuals who advance reconciliation initiatives in Epekwitk. The award is handed out annually by the PEI Mi’kmaq leadership for Indigenous Awareness Week. This year’s recipients are Corryn Clemence, Stephanie Arnold and Joe McGuire.
