$5.5M 2023 Canada Games Legacy Fund to benefit sport in PEI

The 2023 Canada Games Host Society announced a 2023 Canada Games Legacy Fund on Monday.  A financial surplus of $5.5-million was realized by the Host Society with the Games held on PEI last year, resulting in the largest Legacy Fund in Canada Games history.  The Fund will provide funding for projects in sport that focus on capacity building, equipment, introduction to sport, or facility development.  The Community Foundation of PEI will oversee the Legacy Fund, and applications are now being accepted.  Applicants must be either incorporated municipalities or not-for-profit sports organizations based in PEI.
