Green Party Leader Karla Bernard says the population framework released by the PEI Government this week presents more questions than answers. She says the population framework is definitely not a strategy and it is not what the province needs to address the immense pressures on the healthcare system, housing market, childcare spaces and more. The Greens say the only tangible action in the entire document is the 25 percent reduction of federal immigration nominations and the intent to target immigration to areas where staff is most needed. But, Bernard says there is no explanation on how this will help the government achieve its goals.
