Health PEI advises the Emergency Department at Western Hospital will be closed Saturday February 10 due to lack of staffing.
The Emergency Dept will reopen tomorrow (Sunday Feb 11) for regular hours 8am-8pm.
Anyone with emergency medical needs should call 9-1-1 or seek emergency services when:
experiencing discomfort of tightness in the chest, unusual shortness of breath, abdominal pain, prolonged and persistent headache or dizziness,
an injury that could require stitches or a broken bone, a child with prolonged diarrhea or vomiting or a baby under six months old with a fever of more than 38 C
