The Provincial Department of Transportation has plows out across the province, but it is very slow-going. V-plows are out in Kings County and Queens County, trying to punch holes into the deep snow cover that accumulated on main roads with the blowing and drifting snow. Many main roads are plugged solid and the plow crews are having a very tough time getting through. It will be a lengthy process as they try and wide the roads after punching the paths through them. Crews in Kings and Queens Counties have not touched many side roads yet. Road conditions are still slippery and poor in Prince County, but the Transportation Department has everything out working to improve them.
