UPDATE: Route 2 between Brookfield and Greenvale is now reopened.
The RCMP reported shortly after 10am on Sunday that Route 2 between Brookfield and Greenvale was down to one lane. The west bound lane was closed due to a 2 vehicle collision. One of the vehicles involved was a fuel truck, but there wa no damage to the vehicle and none of the contents was spilling. There are no injuries reported.
PEI RCMP asks all Islanders to avoid driving if at all possible. If you do have to go out, ensure your vehicle is cleared of all snow, your lights are visible and on, and that you drive for the conditions – slow down and leave extra space.
