There are now two public safety cameras up and operating in Stratford along the Trans Canada Highway, and Hillsborough Bridge – which is the main traffic corridor through Stratford. The cameras are being operated by Charlottetown Police on their pre-existing E-Watch camera network, and Stratford RCMP will have access to review footage. The RCMP says the cameras could strategically help with all kinds of investigations, whether examining a collision, looking for a stolen car, or helping find a suspect. They are not speed enforcement cameras and will not be live monitored.
