PEI NDP to select candidate this weekend for District 19 by-election

Island NDP Leader Michelle Neill says the NDP’s Provincial Council will meet this weekend to select a candidate to run in the upcoming District 19 – Borden-Kinkora by-election. The seat became vacant in mid-November when PC MLA Jamie Fox resigned to run federally for the Conservatives in Malpeque in the next federal election.  Neill says the NDP’s Candidate Search Committee has received several expressions of interest.  It’s anticipated that the Island New Democrat candidate for the by-election will be announced on Monday.
