The province is seeking applications from municipalities, Indigenous communities and community groups for renewable energy projects.
The province has provided 3.5 million dollars for its Community Renewable Energy Generation Fund.
The new annul fund will help between six and 10 projects to generate cleaner and greener power.
Eligible projects range from wind and solar generation to emergency power sources generated by renewables.
