Maritime Electric continues this morning to deal with some power outages caused by Monday night’s strong winds. As of 5:45am, Maritime Electric was reporting that more than 11-hundred customers were without power. We are currently experiencing outages affecting customers in Stanhope, Fairview, Rocky Point, Donagh, Donaldston, Johnstons River, Tarantum, Brooklyn, New Argyle, Nine Mile Creek, Montague, New Dominion, Argyle Shore and surrounding areas. Crews have been dispatched.

Due to the winds in the forecast for Tuesday morning, Northumberland Ferries has cancelled Tuesday’s 8:30am crossing from Wood Islands and the 10:00am crossing from Caribou.
