Monday night‘s strong winds have resulted in some power outages. As of 8:00pm, Maritime Electric was reporting 527 customers without power in scattered outages across the province. But by 8:30pm that number had grown to 3,130. Those outages are affecting customers in the Kensington area including Baltic, Malpeque, Lower Malpeque, Darnley, Lower Darnley, New London, Norboro, Park Corner, Burlington, Springbrooke, Spring Valley, Seaview and surrounding areas. They also have outages in Cascumpec, Stanhope, Pleasant Grove, Village Green, Fortune Cove, Cornwall, Riverton, Orwell, Dalvay, St Patricks, Lorne Valley, Stratford, Mount Mellick and surrounding areas. Crews have been dispatched to investigate.
