Canada’s Finance Ministers meet in Toronto Friday

Economic growth, housing and affordability will be the focus of Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland’s annual meeting with provincial and territorial finance ministers today.  Governments are facing growing pressure to address the housing crisis by finding ways to get more homes built and faster.  The ministers are also expected to talk pensions, even though Alberta has paused public consultations on creating its own pension plan.
