People who use PEI public libraries won’t be able to hold or reserve books for three days next week, and the computers will be closed down for one day, as the service updates its software.
The public library service says it’s updating its library software from Monday until the end of Thursday.
For the first three days, there won’t be any reserving of books and on Thursday, the library’s entire software system will be unavailable for the day.
On that day, the public will not be able to place holds or access the library’s online catalogue, but the libraries will be available to do manual checkouts during the upgrade period.
