PEI RCMP increasing patrols with focus on vehicles passing stopped school buses

In response to concerns raised by the public, PEI RCMP are increasing patrols with a focus on vehicles passing stopped school buses. Within recent weeks, two drivers in the Tryon/Albany area were charged under the Highway Traffic Act for passing a stopped school bus.  The RCMP is reminding drivers to never pass a school bus when its flashing lights are activated; and stay alert and cautious when approaching school buses.
