Rural transit in PEI saw a record month in September. There were 11,633 one-way trips on rural transportation routes last month, up significantly from August which saw the previous record of 9,736 rides. After launching in October 2021, the province’s rural transit service has created more than 100 bus stops from Tignish to Souris and transit provides an average of 8,452 one-way trips every month.
