The provincial government won’t submit an appeal to the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission after the City of Charlottetown decided to reject a proposed location for a supervised safe injection site in the east end of the City.
Charlottetown council voted against the proposed site on Park Street for one year. The vote was cast in September by council members.
There remains a challenge for both the city and the province to come up with a safe injection site that can be approved.
