On Wednesday afternoon, a Charlottetown Police officer on patrol spotted a vehicle occupied by a man who had an outstanding warrant. The officer conducted a traffic stop and the man was arrested on the warrant without incident. The vehicle was seized and searched, which resulted in the seizure of 2.5 ounces of cocaine, brass knuckles, a baton, drug paraphernalia and $2000 in cash.
A 41 year old Charlottetown man has been charged with Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and breach of a recognizance order.
He’s been remanded in custody and will appear soon in Provincial Court.
