RCMP continue to investigate to identify the suspect in Friday night‘s sword attack in Seacow Pond. It was about 9:30 p.m. when RCMP responded to a report of two people who were attacked on the beach at Seacow Pond. Police responded and learned that a man wearing a dark surgical mask and carrying a sword approached three people on the beach. He attacked a woman and a youth and then fled on foot. The youth suffered minor injuries, while the 42-year-old woman suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The third person was uninjured. The RCMP Major Crime Unit has been working following up on tips. PEI Ground Search and Rescue as well as RCMP Police Dog Section have conducted searches in the area of Seacow Pond, looking for evidence.
