An RCMP operation in Seacow Pond in western PEI continues.
The Mounties are looking for a man with a sword who attacked two people at Seacow Pond Beach Friday evening. The incident was reported about 9.30 p.m.
The suspect was wearing a dark surgical mask and carried a sword. He attacked a woman and youth and then left on foot.
The 42-year old woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries while the young person suffered minor injuries. Any motive behind the attacks is still unknown.
Witnesses say the suspect was going through yards in the area.
An alert was issued which was later dropped.
But residents are still asked to lock doors and be vigilant.
The suspect is about 5-10 and was wearing a mask and possibly a green hoodie.
RCMP have a police dog and drones aiding in the search.
