Councillors in Charlottetown are asking the city’s police department to come up with a strategy for tackling crime in the downtown.
At a special meeting, council members voted unanimously for police to come up with what they call a “community plan with key performance indicators that address illicit drug use and related illegal behaviour.”
Police plan to hold a public meeting at Birchwood Intermediate School next Tuesday to discuss crime and safety concerns in the city.
