Special Weather Statement issued for PEI Friday

There is a Special Weather Statement in effect for all of PEI with Environment Canada saying the province could see 20 to 40mm of rain in most areas through early Friday evening with heavy showers and thunderstorms.    Some areas in the heaviest of showers could see as much as 50mm of rain.  Environment Canada says heavy rainfall rates in excess of 20 mm per hour are possible on Friday.
