RCMP gets 9 calls about smashed windows and thefts from vehicles near beaches

The RCMP says it received 9 reports of vehicle windows being smashed and items stolen from vehicles parked near Island beaches during the day and early evenings. From July 16 to August 7, reports of broken windows and thefts from vehicles were reported at Cabot Beach, Thunder Cove, Cousins Shore, Cape Tryon, Darnley, and Brackley Beach. Items that have been stolen include electronics, wallets, purses, and credit cards.
