A bilateral agreement between PEI and the federal government, aimed at ending gender-based violence, was announced yesterday.
The agreement will support the provincial government in working with organizations across the province to enhance services to victims and survivors of gender-based violence.
The federal government will be providing 9.6 million dollars in funding over four years to support the implementation of the National Action Plan to End Gender-based Violence on the Island
The 10-year plan was launched last year, and aims to set a framework to abolish gender-based violence across the country.
