PEI’s Minister of Finance is impressed by new numbers released that show the PEI economy is in good shape because of population growth and rising employment stats in 2022.
Economic expansion slowed last year due to high inflation and housing challenges.
But there were some good signs of recovery.
The population increased by 3.6 per cent.
Employment was up a record 5.6 per cent and averaged over 84-thousand.
Labour income increased 10 per cent.
Retail sales were up 8.3 per cent.
