The Toronto Blue Jays opened a series in Los Angeles with the NL West leading Dodgers with a 6-3 win in 11 innings. Daulton Varsho hit a two-run double with the bases loaded. Jordan Romano came on for his 29th save.
Matt Chapman homered and Whit Merrifield had four hits.
The Jays are in third place in the AL East third in the wild card just behind Houston.
The Astros edged Texas, 10-9.
Baltimore moved 2.5 up on Tampa Bay in the AL East with a 3-2 victory in Philadelphia. Colton Cowser had a go ahead RBI double in the 9th.
Milwaukee got by Cincinnati, 3-2 on a Christian Yelich walk-off single to move 1.5 up on the Reds for first in the NL Central.
On today: The first place Charlottetown Islander entertain the Moncton Fisher Cats at 8.00 at Memorial Field in New Brunswick Senior baseball. The Islanders (15-4) have won three in a row.
