Overdose Prevention Site Meeting Gets Heated

 It got heated at Wednesday night’s information session on the proposed expansion of health and social services at the Park Street location with Housing Minister Rob Lantz getting shoved by an angry resident.  The incident was captured on video, which then ended up being spread on social media.  After Lantz was shoved, bystanders restrained the man, and the session would continue.  The proposed expansion would include an Overdose Prevention Site built onto the existing Park Street Emergency Shelter.  The Overdose Prevention Site would be operated by PEERS Alliance and overseen by the Department of Health and Wellness.
