Premiers call on Ottawa to boost economic growth and trade

Premier Dennis King and the other premiers are jointly calling on Ottawa to boost economic growth and trade.  As they wrapped up their annual meeting in Winnipeg, the premiers asked for a dedicated meeting with the prime minister to discuss infrastructure priorities.
The premiers have also raised concerns about the bail system, asking Ottawa to reform the Criminal Code to prevent crime from repeat violent offenders.
Health care was also a major topic of discussion, and premiers say streamlining recruitment through immigration would help address staffing shortages.
