An unscheduled increase in fuel prices Wednesday morning. The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved increases of 5.0 cents per litre in the price of gasoline; 5.0 cents per litre in the price of furnace oil; and 5.0 cents per litre in the price of diesel. Including taxes, pump prices for regular self-serve gasoline now range from 174.9 to 176.1 cents per litre, and prices for diesel are between 174.7 and 175.8 cents per litre. The maximum price for furnace oil is 131.0 cents per litre.
