The City of Charlottetown is looking for a new vision of the Queen Parkade that opened in 1979 on Queen Street across from City Hall.
Mayor Philip Brown says the existing four-storey structure is nearing the end of its lifecycle. He says it’s important that it stay open and the number of parking spaces must be maintained.
The City is seeking Expression of Interest submission from developers to redevelop the property which is owned by the City will enter into a long-term lease agreement while maintaining ownership.
The property is zoned Downtown Core and Main Street which includes apartments, eating and drinking establishments plus offices, retail and hotels.
The deadline for submissions is August 3rd.
