Charlottetown Police responded to seven possible impaired driving complaints over the weekend, two of which resulted with charges being laid. At about 4:20 pm on Sunday, Charlottetown Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on St Peters Road. The vehicle was located in a business parking lot on St-Peters Road and officers quickly determined that the driver was grossly impaired by alcohol and the arrest was made. A 52 year old Charlottetown woman was charged with impaired after providing breath samples that police say were four times the legal limit. Then, at about 3:20 am Monday morning, Police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Fitzroy Street. Officers located the vehicle on Prince Street and pulled it over. A 24 year old Charlottetown man was subsequently charged with impaired after providing breath samples that were almost twice the legal limit.
