Alberton woman arrested after stabbing incident

West Prince RCMP arrested a 54-year-old Alberton woman after responding to a stabbing in Alberton on Tuesday.  RCMP got the call at about 8:30pm on Tuesday, and arrived to find a 58-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries.  He was attended to by EMS and taken to the hospital. The police investigation led to the arrest of the 54-year-old woman a short time later. Police say the victim was known to the accused and there was no threat to the general public. The woman is expected to appear in Summerside Provincial court at a later date. The RCMP Major Crime Unit is continuing with the ongoing investigation.
