Health PEI says it’s setting up virtual care for the roughly 25-hundred people who were patients of a primary doctor who has gone on indeterminate leave.
The patients of Dr. Syed Naqvi are being given access to the Unaffiliated Virtual Care program, offered through the Maple online health system.
The province says the service, as well as access to care through pharmacies under the province’s Pharmacy Plus program, will help bridge the gap for Naqvi’s patients.
Patients who want to access the virtual care are being instructed to go on the province’s “virtual care registration page” and follow instructions at the top of the page.
