Two women who accused the former president of UPEI of sexual harassment a decade ago and then signed a non-disclosure agreement want to speak out.
The women have asked the university to permanently release them from the threat of a lawsuit for talking about the allegations.
Their lawyer says they were offered temporary releases from their N-D-A’s to participate in a recent, independent review of the university that found the school had a toxic environment.
The 112-page report by a Toronto-based law firm found that bullying and harassment were widespread and condoned at the top, and that the university failed to create a safe environment for staff and students.
