Charlottetown Police are warning the public about 50 and 100 dollar bills circulating in Charlottetown, Cornwall and Summerside that are counterfeit.
The bogus bills do contain the transparent security panel but are cut from 5 dollar bills and taped to the paper portion of the 50 and 100s.
The counterfeit $100.00 bills have serial # FKW2138818 and GJS6886988. The $50.00 bills have serial # DB66688803, AHT1398324 and AHZ2923470.
