UPDATE: Identity of body found off Point Prim confirmed

At approximately 5:45 a.m. Friday, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre was notified that a body was found in an area off Point Prim.  The PEI Coroner’s office has identified the body as that of 23 year-old Kieran Stewart.  An extensive search had been conducted in the Point Prim – St Peters Island area earlier this week for Kieran, who had last been seen on Saturday and did not return on Sunday from a planned solo kayaking trip to St. Peters Island.
