The four Atlantic premiers say they want to expand a registry of physicians and surgeons to include other health-care professionals. The region’s four premiers first announced the registry in February and say it will make it easier for doctors to work across the Atlantic region. They say 87 physicians in Atlantic Canada have opted into the registry since it took effect on May 1st. The premiers also want to establish a regional working group on the international recruitment of health professionals. Premier Dennis King and the other Premiers met in PEI on Monday. They also called on the federal government to delay the introduction of the new Clean Fuel Regulations.
