Impaired charge follows two-vehicle collision in Charlottetown

Late last Friday afternoon, at about 5:30pm, Charlottetown Police responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of University Avenue and Buchanan Drive.   Both vehicles were heading in the same direction when the driver of the second vehicle failed to stop in time and rear ended the first vehicle.  While speaking with the driver of the vehicle that struck the stopped vehicle, officers determined that she was impaired by alcohol.  A 53 year old Charlottetown woman was arrested and she has been charged with impaired after providing breath samples that were almost three times the legal limit.
