Veterans Affairs Minister and Cardigan MP Lawrence MacAulay has announced over $251-thousand to the Montague Waterfront Development Corporation to support the trail and Marina in the town. The funding is coming through ACOA.
The money will encourage more use of the trail especially in the off-season. Automated, energy efficient lighting will be put up over a 2 kilometre portion of the Confederation Trail.
Fuelling station upgrades will be added to the marina along with new floating docks which will draw more boat traffic and attract more visitors to local business in Three Rivers.
