In recognition of this year’s 150th anniversary of the RCMP, the province has created a commemorative licence plate.
The plates feature RCMP 150 and they’re available in French and English. The RCMP will distribute the plates to their staff and retired members. The RCMP, which is responsible for policing communities on the Island except Charlottetown, Summerside, and Kensington, has been providing provincial police service in PEI since 1932. PEI’s “L” Division is made up of more than 200 police officers, civilian members and public service employees.
