In support of the Province’s Island-wide fire ban, and in light of the regional fire situation, no fires will be permitted in Prince Edward Island National Park until further notice. Parks Canada is also reminding visitors that under the Canada National Parks Fire Regulations, no person shall, in a park, discard a lighted cigar, cigarette, match or any other burning substance. In a national park, burning illegally could result in a minimum fine of $250. More serious offences may result in fines up to $25,000.
