A 61 year old man from York has been charged with impaired after a vehicle-pedestrian collision last Friday night. Charlottetown Police responded at about 9:00pm to the collision at the intersection of St Peter’s Road and Francis Lane. Police say a vehicle traveling north on St Peters Road struck a pedestrian that was crossing near the intersection. The pedestrian suffered serious but non life threatening injuries and is recovering in hospital.
While speaking with the driver, police determined that he was impaired by alcohol and the arrest was made.
