Monday is Byelection Day for Ward 3 in Summerside as residents vote for a new councillor. The polls will be open from 9 am to 7 pm at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Credit Union Place. Nearly 23% of eligible voters cast their ballot in three advance polls with 326 votes cast so far..
There are seven candidates running that include: Lisa Bradshaw, Nicolas Cameron, Arlene Desroches, Krista Hickey, Patrick McMahon, Pete Peters and Gordie Whitlock. The seat became vacant as the sitting councillor, Barb Ramsay won her bid to become an MLA.
