The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved an increase in gasoline prices overnight. As of 12:01a.m. Friday, gasoline prices went up by 5.0 cents per litre. Including taxes, pump prices for regular self-serve gas now range from 165.6 to 166.8 cents per litre. There’s no change in the prices of furnace oil or diesel. Prices for diesel still sit between 159.5 to 160.7 cents per litre. The maximum price for furnace oil is 100.5 cents per litre.
