Power was out for over 66-hundred customers on Sunday afternoon and the Confederation Bridge had to restrict high sided vehicles due to strong wind gusts.
Summerside lost power which was restored by 1.30 by the city’s utility. The cause was reported as a blown fuse.
Maritime Electric reported over 6,000 outages caused by high winds.
Power was restored by the late afternoon in several eastern areas of the province.
