Charlottetown Public Works will continue to pick up tree and branch debris from hurricane Fiona that hit the Island last September. The clean up will continue through June 30th. Many properties still require some help in cleaning up. All materials should be piled by the road. Tree branches should be trimmed and logs should be no more than four feet high. Other waste will not be collected including leaf bags.
The province has received 61-hundred requests for property cleanup from Fiona with about 300 properties left that need work. You can apply from May 23rd to June 16th for assistance by calling 1-833-734-1873 or visit a local Access PEI location for assistance if it’s still needed. You can also apply online if you didn’t do so last fall.
