One new COVID-19 related death confirmed in PEI

One COVID-19 related death in PEI was confirmed on Tuesday.  There have now been 104 COVID-19 related deaths in PEI since the pandemic began in March of 2020, and 23 of those deaths have been in 2023.  For the period of April 30th through May 13th, there were two people in hospital in PEI with COVID-19, which is down from 8 the previous 2-week period.  One of those current patients in hospital is being treated in the ICU.  The number of confirmed positive cases in PEI during that April 30th to May 13th period is 26, down from 68 the previous 2-week period.
