Late Monday morning, Charlottetown Police responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Fitzroy Street with the driver appearing to be sleeping inside. Officers located the vehicle and awoke the driver, at which point police say it became obvious that he was impaired by alcohol. A 44 year old Cornwall man was charged with impaired after providing breath samples that police say were almost twice the legal limit.
The man was released from custody and will soon appear in Provincial Court.
