Charlottetown Police responded to five possible impaired driving complaints over the weekend, three of which resulted in charges being laid. Shortly before 8:30 pm Friday, Police responded to a call about a possible impaired driver on Kent Street. That led to a 73 year old Charlottetown man being charged with impaired. Then, at about 3:00 am Saturday, officers responded to a complaint that a possible impaired driver that had backed into another parked vehicle on Prince Street. A 19 year old Farmington man was charged with impaired after providing breath samples that were almost twice the legal limit. Shortly after 4:00 am on Sunday, officers on payroll noticed an erratic driver on Capital Drive. An 18 year old Saint-Antoine New Brunswick man was charged with impaired after providing breath samples that were almost twice the legal limit.
