Mediated contract talks are expected to continue Tuesday in Ottawa as a strike by tens of thousands of federal public servants drags into a seventh day. Treasury Board President Mona Fortier yesterday released an open letter explaining the four remaining sticking points at the table. They include wage increases and telework. But even as Fortier provided those updates, there seemed to be a complete stoppage of progress with a separate negotiation involving Canada Revenue Agency workers who are members of a subdivision of the Public Service Alliance of Canada. There are about three-thousand federal employees in PEI who are a part of the national labour strike, and they include P-S-A-C members and Canada Revenue Agency workers.
